Scientific and Research Contributions
Dr. Maciej Cieślik has authored and co-authored several influential scientific publications in leading cardiology journals, focusing on innovative approaches to cardiac imaging, myocardial strain analysis, and interventional cardiology. His research has contributed to advancements in diagnosing and treating complex cardiovascular diseases, improving patient outcomes, and refining interventional techniques. Key highlights of his research include: Longitudinal Strain in Aortic Stenosis: Dr. Cieślik’s study on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) demonstrated how longitudinal strain correlates with hemodynamic findings in severe aortic stenosis and predicts positive remodeling after transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). (Clin Res Cardiol, 2018) Quantification of Myocardial Ischemia and Scar: His work in CMR-derived imaging improved the accuracy of risk stratification and patient management in stable coronary artery disease. (Cardiol, 2017) Myocardial Strain and TAVR Outcomes: Research on myocardial strain characteristics provided valuable insights into patient outcomes after transcatheter aortic valve replacement. (Cardiol J, 2018) MAGnet Trial: Dr. Cieślik was involved in the Magnetic Resonance Adenosine Perfusion Imaging (MAGnet) study, which evaluated the effectiveness of CMR in guiding invasive coronary interventions. (Trials, 2017) Treatment of Heavily Calcified Coronary Lesions: His research contributed to developing new approaches for treating calcified coronary lesions, improving procedural success rates. (Ther Umsch, 2021) Takotsubo Syndrome and Acute Coronary Syndrome: His work on multimodality imaging provided groundbreaking insights into diagnosing complex cases involving Takotsubo syndrome and acute coronary syndrome. (Cardiology Journal, 2022) Dr. Cieślik’s research reflects his deep commitment to advancing cardiology and improving patient care through innovation and scientific excellence.
